Through its Government Affairs department, Barr places substantial emphasis on creating and maintaining a legislative and regulatory climate conducive to the Company's expanding business strategies in markets around the world. The department is focused on educating lawmakers, policymakers, and opinion leaders on issues that directly impact the specialty pharmaceutical industry in which the Company competes. It also represents the interests of and advocates for public policy formulation and implementation that addresses the pharmaceutical and healthcare needs of consumers around the world.

Barr's Government Affairs department, located in Washington, D.C., coordinates global government affairs activities as well as relationships with generic trade associations and other organizations to amplify our voice around the world. The department also maintains strong relationships with political leaders and policymakers in locations such as Zagreb, Croatia; Warsaw, Poland; Prague, Czech Republic and other world capitals where the Company maintains a significant business presence. It is also active in major pharmaceutical associations in Europe and Asia, working to build an understanding of the wide array of issues affecting our industry around the world.
